In recent times there have been a lot of injustices against black people, many people have been silent for so long, and their silence has cost them a lot. It is important to know that as children, you are special and wonderfully made. You should not allow anyone to make you feel inferior because of your complexion. Over the last decade, there has been a powerful movement that has shaken the world. As many of you that were born in the year 2010 till date, you will have an idea about this movement. The Black Lives movement originated in the United States of America in the year 2013. Three women are considered to be the founding members of this movement, they are Alicia Garza, Patrisse Cullors, and Opal Tumeti. The main reason why these women created and formed this group was because Trayvon Martin who was an African American was killed by George Zimmerman, and the surprising thing about this was that George Zimmerman was acquitted of all charges. These women were surprised that a known killer was acquitted of the charges. The movement intensified when George Floyd was killed when fighting for his life at the hands of the police.
